10 Affordable Bar Stools that look expensive
Here at Decor Hint, we are huge fans of getting the look for less. We really don’t think we need to shell out thousands of dollars in order to have a beautiful home. My latest home find for you; affordable bar stools.

These bar stools are all mostly under $100, in fact we own one of the cheapest bar stools on this list. So I can tell you from experience that you definitely don’t NEED to spend a lot here to have a nice looking bar stool.

Affordable Bar Stools
Let’s start with these modern faux leather beauties from Amazon. This is SET OF 4, so each chair will run you well under $100. Reviews state that although assembly is a bit of a pain – these bar stools are comfortable (that built-in footrest is key), stylish and well worth the price paid.
If you are looking for a similar chair, look no further than this Set of 3 bar faux leather bar stools from Project 62 at Target.
For all the industrial style lovers out there, this set of 4 modern metal bar stools are for you. Bonus – these come pre-assembled and are stackable with a space saving design. These stools are powder coated, scratch resitant and come in 4 different colors. Sturdy, durable and cheap!
Next up, we have our kitchen stools! If you like simplistic shaker style design, you will love these basic wood stools. We have had them for over two years, with my kids jumping on and off them on the daily. In fact, I’m writing this article from one of the stools are we speak! These stools were very easy to assemble and while they are not as comfortable as one of the faux leather options listed above – they are comfy enough and easy to keep clean.

The only cons would be that after two years of heavy, daily use, the footrest bars are a bit loose (but not broken) and some of the wood buttons that hide the screws popped off (but you still can’t see the screws really). For under $50 a stool – you can’t go wrong!
If you love this look – I found a really beautiful lookalike version on Target. These ones from Threshold feature curved saddle seats for extra comfort and come in three different colors.
I also spotted these saddle seat bar stools on Amazon and they are beautiful! If you love that Scandi style – these birch stools in the natural or black color will fit the bill. Plus – they are pretty affordable and look a lot more expensive than what they are. Amazing reviews too!
If you are in the market for a modern, lighter wood stool, you might like these round rubberwood stools from Walmart. You won’t believe the price on these! Featuring a powder coated base with a round rubberwood seat in natural. I could see these in a kids playroom or even in a beach house. I love the minimal look!
I love these next three even though they are a little higher in price – but still affordable!!
Starting with these beautiful woven faux leather metal chairs from Project 62 at Target. These have a back, so right there you have a bit more comfort! The metal legs keep these chairs sleek looking and durable, and the faux leather seat will be easy to keep clean while adding a stylish look to your room. These also come in three different colors.
Introducing my absolute favorite of this bunch – these shaker style curved back bar stools from Studio McGee at Target. Featuring colors in black, natural or walnut – these chairs look so much more expensive than what they are and have over 100 four-star reviews.
And last but certainly not least, these upholstered bar stools by Project 62. These stools feature metal legs that look like wood – so you get the durability and still get that wood look you want. These also come in over 10 different upholstery colors for a perfect match to your existing decor. The foam seating is padded and comfy, you can definitely sit here a while.
